Members drummer762
I know. Is everyone that bored with lighting that they don't want to talk about lighting with others who enjoy lighting?

Members Mutha Goose
Yeah, it's always been generally quite in here. But, if you ask a question, it's usually answered very quickly and helpfully.

Members Mutha Goose
Unless they are marked some way, you will not be able to tell. Measuring cable impedance is not a simple task and requires specialized test equipment. In general, DMX cables should be less flexible... but not always. Members StratGuy22
When I cut up a DMX cable to make smaller ones I noticed there were the 2 wires, the braided shield around it and then a foil shield around that as well.. That might have just been that specific brand...
Members Chaff67
When I was first learning about DMX I read somewhere that DMX cables do not have the shield connected chassis on the connector, whereas xlr cable usually do.
