Announcement

Harmony Central has “soft launched” our new mobile experience this past week. While we have done extensive testing, we know that with a community as large as HC that there will be items that surface that will still need to be addressed. We are asking that you utilize the thread belowto report any challenges you may encounter. Here are the things we request you provide: A brief description of the issue, the device and operating system version you were using, the browser and version, screen resolution, and a screen shot of the display.

        Yeah, it's always been generally quite in here. But, if you ask a question, it's usually answered very quickly and helpfully.

      I put a bit of colored heatshrink on my DMX cables when I was making them...

        Unless they are marked some way, you will not be able to tell. Measuring cable impedance is not a simple task and requires specialized test equipment.

        In general, DMX cables should be less flexible... but not always.

          When I cut up a DMX cable to make smaller ones I noticed there were the 2 wires, the braided shield around it and then a foil shield around that as well..

          That might have just been that specific brand...

            When I was first learning about DMX I read somewhere that DMX cables do not have the shield connected chassis on the connector, whereas xlr cable usually do.
