Members StratGuy22
Well it's starting to work out. I'm going to rent my DJ light rig to a young guy doing school dances for $250. This Thursday I'll set it up, show him how to run it, then come tear it down at midnight. That way I don't have to actually DJ. Ok it will be these lights 5 - Fab5 wash lights 2 - intimidator spot duos 2 - Jellydomes (on the edge) 3 mini Kintas Friday I'll be doing sound for 3 bands. Then on Saturday I'll be setting up and running lights for $300. Simple setup: 11 3NX, on a 16' truss. I would have preferred doing lights & sound, more money, but this will definitely be less work. Members StratGuy22
The DJ was really happy with my light setup. He said a few times "man I have to invest in new lighting." I said "don't bother investing, just rent mine each time." He agreed it was the best idea. So that works. Today I'll be setting up the 16' truss for tomorrow's gig, I'll get to try out my new backdrop.

Members djiceman1575
Tired of seeing your posts all over the audio forums. I'm way too jealous! Lol. What do you typically use for front lighting, or do you rarely ever do front lighting?
Members StratGuy22
In that upper video, there was 1 Fab5 on a fly point on each Unity15. Tonight's gig, I have 2 Fab5's per side on T-Bars.
Members StratGuy22
Also, when I just do a band without back lights, I'll put one light on each FOH as well.
