Members webe123
At my church, they have an older set of 8 PAR 56 cand and two power supplies that go back to a lighting board. They are NOT LED! But someday we may want to get LED lighting....since taking the PAR 56 cans down to replace the bulbs are an absolute PAIN! I read that the newer LED PAR 56 cans were lighter, needed NO power supply and could hook up directly to a board. Now here is my question.....is there a difference in the controller that our older system uses....versus a controller that is needed for a LED PAR 56 lighting system? In other words...if we just bought 8 PAR 56 or 64 cans....could we use the same controller that runs our older PAR 56 cans? Or do we need to buy a totally new controller along with the LED PAR 56 or 64 cans we would get?
Members BillESC
LED fixtures will require a DMX output controller. You currently have a completely analog system. One will not work with the other.
