Members maedros
Hi all, Our band is making the leap from old school lights to leds. Our guitarist is running sound from stage, and will be handling lights as well -- is the Chauvet footc controller that useful in changing scenes? We don't anticipate using an auto chase thing very often, we plan on starting out with 4 Chauvet slim par Q12 wash lights in front, then adding lights on the sides as we are able. So, we'd just like to have various scenes and blackouts, but do you have to scroll through various settings on the foot controller to get to a scene you want? We use set lists for songs, but change them on the spur of the moment. Another option would be getting the Obey 70 dmx controller, and changing things by hand between songs. (we have 2 guitarists, so he'd be able to focus on lights for a second while the other guitarist carries song intros). Would a midi type foot controller work with the Obey 70 and be more useful, similar to getting patches on a guitar processor? Thanks for any input *edited to add* I've seen info that says we could use a Roland fc300, or Behringer fc1010, I have an old Roland fc100, could that be used? It's midi capable. Members BillESC
The DMX 70 is a PITA. The DMX 40 and a midi tone generator is your best bet.
Members StratGuy22
Trying to get an FCB1010 to work with an obey70 is brutal. It made me look for a software solution.
