Members monthlymixcd Posted December 8, 2014 Members Share Posted December 8, 2014 I'm right there with you, jcpatte2! I'm in the process of switching over from analog band lighting to DMX control. So far, the DMX Operator 192 I picked up is WAY easier to program than trying to setup everything in Freestyler X2. I realize that there's a LOT more power in the latter... but I also need to be able to run sound while I'm running lights and being a live band that likes to improvise, I need to be able to grab things on the fly with a hardware controller... and so far the Elation is working out great for that! DMX control (how I'm using it, anyway) has been a pretty simple transition. Do you have a controller yet? As far as lighting forums, DMXIS and Freestyler both have decent forums, but this forum has the best general info. buried in its threads.
