Members dirtyragamuffin
You don't want Mackie. Overpriced, underqualified, and NOT rider friendly. If you're dealing with rock bands, don't be suprised if you see "No Mackie" on their riders. Look at Soundcraft, Allen & Heath GL series (my personal fave cause I have one; very nice EQ and smooth pres) and Crest. Peavey RQ series has also been well-received, but you might run into the same difficulty as Mackie interms of the rider issues. If you're just looking to work with one particular band, you should be OK. I wouldn't spend 900 on any Mackie, that's for sure. two cents
Members Drumtech
If the mixer is in good shape, I'd go for it... If you're running your own band or other local acts, it will serve you well. The SR series of mixers offers, IMHO, a good bang for the buck. I have an SR-24-4 and have no complaints. Zero problems, logical layout and decent sound... Good Luck!
