Members charlieg6
Hi everyone,I've already bought some of this stuff, but I wanted some feedback on the gear and the cost I'm paying for the pieces. Let me know what you think- esp if you think I can do better for the money! Mains: 2 Yorkville NX520P(new) = $1250 Subs: 2 Yorkville PS210P (used, but in excellent condition): $500 (I think this is a steal- they guy I'm buying the mains off of threw this deal in. He almost reneged on it, but held his honor. They are discontinued, but listed for $1000 EACH new). Each cab is 600W 2x10". In addition, he's hooking us up w/ a 7 day exchange policy and a 2 month warranty on them. Monitors: 2 Community MVP28(new): $3302 YSM112 (used): $200 (I know these kind of suck, they are just gonna be used to give the drummer some vox and guitar) Monitor Amp: QSC RMX2450 (new): $530- probably a little overkill in terms of power, but I figure if I run it low enough I'll be OK. Mixer:Mackie CR1604(used): $300. This is also from a dealer and comes with a return policy. Total: $2910Anywhere I could improve? Thanks for your help. Members flanc
Pricing sounds OK to me. Be carefull with the CR1604 mixer. If I remember right, that unit has only 8 mic pre's (and 8 line inputs) and you have an extender unit that bolts on to add the other 8 preamps. Members charlieg6
Yes, you're right about the # of pres. Unfortunately it was one of the few I trusted for Does anyone have any other notes on that mixer- good or bad.
Members soundtecwannabe
There was an expantion kit you could add to give you mic pres on every channel.
