Is using monitors as mains a problem?

If you are talkin' about a cab that is available as both a "main" cab and a "monitor" cab, the monitor version often has a bit less internal volume and might not go as low as the "main" version. One of the posters here advocates your first set of mains being cabs that can be used as monitors later when you "upgrade" and I think that is a great idea!

As long as they are pole-mountable and I don't mind the look, are there any differences in sound?

Thanks,

If they're in-ear monitors, I think you'll be a bit disappointed when you try to use them as mains. ;)

Beats me, we barely had time to snap that pic (in the rain) before the bus station guys ran out and threw us out of the parking lot. :D
