Members Alan Roberts
Has anyone tried any of the aftermarket(non-JBL) diaphragms that are on the market? The one's I've seen are about 1/3 the price of what JBL wants for them, but I'm suspicious of the quality.Any experiences?Peace,Alan
Members agedhorse
Quality varies wildly, I use some OEM aftermarket diaphrams because their quality is (IMO) better than the original parts in some models. The cost isn't 1/3 though.
Members Alan Roberts
I bought a set of 2416 replacements made by Powered Audio. So far I've been unable to tell the difference between them and the originals. They've survived 3 nights of band practice and are holding their own. They came with a 30 day return policy,so I intend to work them pretty hard for the first month.Cost was $43 in comparison to $148 which was the best price I could find on the JBL's(each).Who knows, they may burn up on the 31st day,but so far so good.Peace,Alan
