Members maibock1023
Hi all, New to this forum, 1st post. Anybody have any feedback on the Peavey XR 8300. My band will be playing bars/small clubs etc. We already have a set of Peavey 15"/horn cabs, I'm thinking for our classic rock/blues format, this setup will do the trick. Members Dandy Don
Have you looked at the Yamaha EMX-512? The peavey is a nice box mixer, and I almost bought it but for the money the Yamaha just has more of everything. More power, lighter weight,an adj. compressor very handy for vocal's or kick drum mic., great built in effect's. We use it to do all our small job's less than 300 people. And it powers not only our main's but the sub's too! We use one side of the amp for main's the other for sub's. We use powered monitors. It has plenty of punch the best box mixer I've ever used!! Members Singin' Dave
For an extra $100 or so, the XR8600 is the better bet - more power!

Members Dandy Don
Warranty I'm not sure if its 1yr. parts and labor or not your local dealer can tell you.
Members guitarharv52
If you have decided to use a powered mixer Peavey and Yamaha are both good choices.
Members maibock1023
not sure we need the extra power, I'm kinda partial to Peavey quality, that coming from owning 3 of their guitar amps at the moment and several throughout the years.
