Members raggydoll
would there be any point in hooking up c300's to the powered srm450's? louder?better spread of sound? is it even possible? would this make any difference to the sound or is it best just to buy more 450s to add on if need be? Members dboomer
There are no connecting jacks to hook up the unpowered speaker to the powered one. you can't do it anyway ... unless you are re-inventing the speakers.
Members modulusman
Raggydoll, it is not possible to hook up the 300s to the 450s. You would need a power-amp with the 300s. I would buy more 450s, my band uses 4- 450s at some of the clubs we play at. Using 4 will definitely be louder.

Members modulusman
raggydoll, We use 2 450s at some gigs but we always use them with mackie 1501 subs. They sound pretty good and are also fairly loud. As far as reliability all are speakers are 5-6 years old and we have never had to repair a 450. We have had them shut down a couple of times when they got too hot. Both times they were outside on a hot day in direct sunlight. Our 450s are either American or Italian made. There have been some reliability issues reported with the chinese boxes, hope this helps.
