Members southwestguiatr
Here is my current PA set-up: Mackie CFX16 MKIICarvin 2400 watt ampBehringer 2400 watt ampNady 2000 watt amp (backup only) 2 Warfdale 2x15 w horns2 Behringer 15' monitors The PA is used mainly for vocals in our warehouse rehersal space. What do I need to have better sound quality control. The PA sounds great but I can hear it is not as good as some of the better clubs. If digital EQ is recommended let me know I need somthing easy but good. Phil

So... what is it that you're hearing that is not as good as some of the better clubs?
Members southwestguiatr
Their sound is clearer and has a greater dynamic quality to it. The Warfdale speakers are tight so I am thinking it is the limited control I have through EQ and compression on the board. I am anywhere near correct? Members bigmike216
How about some subs? Or is it just vocals only?
Members southwestguiatr
We play big clubs regionally (www.myspace.com/mozartssister) and I only use this PA for rehersal (who would want to move it anyway - lol)
Members agedhorse
Compression on the board? Don't recall any on the CFX. For rehersals, perhaps you are getting close to the limit of gain before feedback, which would not be approached in a larger space. A 2 x 15" cabinet might be a rough choice for a small space, especially in the 125-250Hz range.
Members southwestguiatr
We have a LARGE rehersal space. 15' x 50'. I rarely get feedback. I am just trying to improve the quality of the sound we already get. PH
