Members Phil Clark
In a week we are going to Minneapolis for a show and it is PA provided, and there will be a Soundcraft GB8 console there for me to mix on. I see that the GB8 doesn't have PADs built into it. My main board (Allen & Heath GL3300) does have pads that I use on occasion. Has input signal strength been a problem for anyone on the GB8 or should I be ok?
Members agedhorse
The input gain range has been increased to eliminate the need for seperate pads. Seems to work pretty well.
Members TimmyP
The one thing I don't like about my GL2200 is the 30dB pads - it's just too much - the 20 of my ancient Soundcraft was much more usable. I'd love a padless preamp, so long as the gain range is sufficient.
