ELCO/EDAC pinout standard

Hello,

I'm thinking about putting ELCO/EDAC connectors on one of my snakes. I can find the connectors, pins, and crimper on line but I can't seem to find any kind of standard that others use for the pinout. Not that it really maters as I can come up with one of my own, but does anybody know of a source for a typical pinout configuration for a 20 channel snake?

Thanks in advance.

From the archives:

For a tutorial:

As far as a standard pin-out, here's the 90 pin (which I suspect is what you'll want to use for a 20ch. snake):

http://www.whirlwindusa.com/ftp/Connectors/Elco/wwelco90.pdf

They also have the 38, 56, and 120 pin-outs posted as-well:

38 pin:

56 pin:

120 pin:

FWIW: I believe the ADAT compatible snakes using the EDAC 516-56 connector are wired with a different pin-out than the pin-out shown on the Whirlwind website for the ELCO 56 pin connectors.
