Members chii
I'm looking for a light, good sound and easy handling keyboard synthesizer for a gig. What is good? I don't have a car, so I really want to this kind of one.
Members jimmymio
Nord keyboards are small, light and sound great. However they all do one or a few sounds really well but are not the "jack of all trades" type of axe.JP
Members Ricky Chao
anything without weighted keys, but that should go without saying.
Members Bugzie
The popular one around here seems to be the Nord Electro 2. You might be able to find a decent price as I think the Electro 3 is available.
Members jimmymio
The E3 is definitely available and most feel it is an improvement over the E2. However the E2s are holding their value. And they are great for all electro-mechanical keys-B3, clav, rhodes and wurly. But they do nothing else. And yes, they are amazingly portable.JP

Members jimmymio
One more to consider: the new Casio Privia PX-330. 88 weighted keys @ 25 pounds. Emphasizes piano but many other sounds too.Supposedly sounds great and very reasonably priced.JP
Members chii
Thank you. Nord will be great though I can't afford it now.Meanwhile, my friend's friend let me borrow Roland D70 that is needed to fix one key. How is this? It is still heavy to carry but I'm going to figure it out how to use.
Members madjack
Look on ebay for a Roland XP10. Should be quite inexpensive and has a good pallate of very usable sounds.

Unless it is dirt cheap, I would look elsewhere.JP
