Members Axisplayer
Behringer gear is fabulous. JRX rules, and if the badge says Monster, it HAS to be good. OK. I think I got it all out of my system. ;-)

Members Shaster
I almost blew my small 25 watt stereo speakers by underpowering them. Luckily I've got two new Behr amps that I'm going to bridge, should be sweet . 100 times the RMS.

Luckily I've got two new Behr amps that I'm going to bridge, should be sweet . 100 times the RMS. 100 times rms is the lowest rating I would recommend. 400 times rms to give you the proper headroom and take advantage of the full power your speaker can give you. Just remember that 400 times rms is just to have the power available for peaks. Back to the bar. Burp. I said where is the burbon....Bit^% Have a nice holiday everyone. Members W. M. Hellinger
I'm all for the health care reform programs being debated by our lawmakers. I'm all for giving to those less driven by taking from those who have worked for what they might have. Higher taxes levels out the playing field making everything fair for everyone. I'm all for using whatever is the cheapest tool available. I like snow... cause you can have fun in the snow. I really like dealing with 22 yo. airheads at large corporations when dealing with 5 and 6 figure orders that are time and logistic sensitive. I live to watch commercial teevee. Disco rules. So does double knit cloths.

Members Axisplayer
Bose L1's for everyone. A quality PA for 5000 people outdoors will only run about $75. I love 100 watt Marshalls but they do need both 4x12s to sound right. Any soundcheck done sober is not worth doing. The Behringer purchase of Midas won't change anything. Members W. M. Hellinger
The foundation building blocks (the first items purchased) of a PA system should be: 1) A combination sonic maximizer/exciter/expander/pitch corrector/feedback eliminator/time alignment device.2) A subharmonic detonator3) A (or multiple) power conditioners4) Really heavy speaker cables (gauge is less important than over-all OD)5) Gates & comps... lots of those6) amplifiers easily configured for bridge-mono7) A lowered Honda Accord with a 6" ID exhaust pipe and a bitchin sound system.8) Some sort of system controller with a Smmart/laptop interface.9) A kick-ass kick drum mic

Members DaBender
I'm not going to play another gig until I can afford a $25,000 upgrade to my PA. I mean, with 50 people in the audience, aren't they worth $500 apiece?
Members Axisplayer
When an inspector tries to give you any grief, just tell him he is wrong They usually will just leave. No one really needs liability insurance. Don't worry about the mic shocking the guitar player's lips. It is normal for old amps.
