Members Unalaska
Great amp and the white sticker on the back says 2000w @ 2ohms per channel. The RMX's all state a 4ohm load min and I think so do the PLX's. I'm not planning on this being used at 2ohm per channel but if I had to do it for a 4hr gig (2 dual 18's per side) what's the thought? Members Unalaska
Look at the back sticker by the power cord input, I'm pretty sure it rates the RMX @ 4ohm. It may be a UL thing, dunno
Members Coaster
the PLX's will do 2 ohm all day all night and the next day too. i have no experience with the PL series.
Members Mogwix
PL's will run full tilt into a 2 ohm load no sweat.
Members agedhorse
It's an agency rating issue regarding the power input rating for testing.
Members DaBender
The Yamaha P-series literature is a bit confusing. They clearly state a 4-ohm minimum load per channel in the speaker hookup section, yet they publish a 2-ohm spec in the power rating section. Members DaBender
QSC not Yammy I know. I was presenting it as another example of a confusing set of specs regarding minimum impedances.
