Members fingerpicker
I had mentioed possibly "upgrading" those speakers in the Yorkville Y15 to get more bass output. Almost everyone said dont do this because you may not even be upgrading because of the cabinet design in relation to the speaker I was thinking about getting. One of Agedhorse's comments kept nagging at me: "... personally I would have used this opportunity to really upgrade your speaker choice to something compact, lightweight and modern. So I just happened to get on Craigslist and found these: A pair of JBL MRX5515's. Practically new, Still with the stickers on them! I bought them from a DJ who has four of these, and mrx subs for sale. He switched to all powered eons (the new ones) Ok Im a happy camper now!!!!! Members fingerpicker
You had two JBL MRX515's for $500? (and I live in Florida, these were local so no shipping) I am betting if you still have them and put them on Craigslist they would sell pretty quick at that price. Members St Stephen
Sounds nearly identical to my situation. Was looking to upgrade and found a pair of MRX515's on my local Craigslist here in Madison, WI for $900 never used, still in the box. It was a Mom who bought them for her sons band and when they came in, they decided they weren't what they wanted?? I guess their lack of research was my gain. Members 6Imzadi
Mine were MRX512M and they were still in the box for $500 EACH. Miscommunication when ordered. Now, I wouldn't part with them. You got a steal from a guy who didn't know what he had. DJ, need I say more. Not you , Al.
