Members 55fmj
Trying to decide on a 2 channel EQ. I'm just looking for opinions and experiences on both of these. Thanks
Members gonzobassman
I went with DBX 231s.Not saying anything bad about Peavey, just DBX is what I really wanted, and I got a good deal on them.
Members georgestrings
Yeah, I went all DBX for signal processing when I fleshed out my PA - a 231 for mains, a pair of 215s for monitors, a 223XL for my X-over, and some 266s for channel compression/gating - I haven't regretted any of those choices... Also, I bought nearly all of them used, so I don't have alot wrapped up in any of the above... I've liked Peavey gear for a long time, but prefer DBX in this case - their stuff works well, and is very reasonably priced - not to mention, since it's pretty durable/reliable, buying used usually isn't a bad way to go... - georgestrings

Members Rezrover
Peavey Q231 or PV231? Big difference! I got two of the Q231's on my monitors, work great.
Members Coaster
i have three channels of Q131, TRS only but otherwise a fine eq. i've had a lot of experience with the dbx231 and notice no substantial difference. my peaveys are deeper in the rack and have permanently attached power cords. Members tlbonehead
I like the FLS Peaveys, especially if you are doing sound onstage while playing.
Members modulusman
I like the FLS Peaveys, especially if you are doing sound onstage while playing. Yeah I still have a couple of Q215fx that I use to use for wedges. Made it a little easier to find feedback while playing bass with one hand and moving sliders with the other. Members Unalaska
Q231's with the feedback thingies are nice! I personally use DBX231's.
