Members DBR
Hello Folks,Seeing as how I am spending the dough on these three-way speakers, are the low frequencies going to be able to cut through without subs? Before I purchase, I would love to be able to try them out with a kick drum thumping through and see how much these speakers can handle. I just want to get some kind of idea here. Anything is better than what I have right now. Thanks
Members The Chinese
If you want Thumping Kick, You need subs. The 3 ways give a clearer midrange, not increased low end.
Members agedhorse
If you need subs, you need subs. A 3 way cabinet has the same low end section as the 2 way model, just a different (and not necessicarily better) approach to the midrange section. Members dcastar
They put out decent low end. But if you're looking for something to give you thump.... you're going to need subs.
