Members NUSound
Hello Folks,I am new to the powered speaker concept...so how necessary is it to have an outboard Xover for the speaks if they already have one built in?Thanks In the vast majority (90%+) of powered speaker applications, an external crossover is unnecessary. Members agedhorse
No, especially if you choose subs with a matching crossover to the tops. That's why I like to stay within a brand and model for powered speakers. The PRX cabinets have matching crossovers between the sub and top models, as do QSC's. Members DBR
That is the way I'm going AH. I will get the subs later on. This way all I really need to get is a few cables and compressor/gate. Works for me. Thanks
