Members Mr Blues
Just brought a used Soundcraft M4 for a good price on a used gear website. I was well impressed once I tweaked a bit. The mic pre's are very warm sounding the eq especially impressed me. Very musical. It defanatly beats the Mackie's and the entry level Soundcraft the epm series. Any other Soundcarft M sereis fans out there? I know they have a M8 and M12 version. Dave
Members Dogoth
Got the 12M and love it. It hasn't seen the road as it functions primarily as the mic pre's for a drum/iso room I have and occasionaly as a rehersal P.A. (It always lives in the same room). Regarding sound quality though, it's pretty hard to beat for the money.
Members Bobby1Note
Beautiful board purely from a styling point of view. I was seriously considering the M4 for an acoustic-guitar duo/solo set-up. Still may do that in fact. I found one within reasonable driving distance, so if the price is decent, I may go for it. Members Mr Blues
Hi Bobby1note I would go for it,I am a solo singer/guitarist and it is ideal for what I do, its like the Rolls Royce of all the other compact mixers I have ever had. While I was enquiring i phoned up Soundcraft and spoke to one of the tech guys and he tells me that it was the same quality as the entry level EPM sereis.maybe I didn't hear him right but but to my ears the M4 sounded much better . I may get a soundcard with a digital input so I can use the digital out spidif option to do some home recording on my computor. Dave
