currently i have a component system PA rig

it includes :

soundcraft m8 mixer

qsc rmx 1850

klipsch kp250a 12" 3way speakers

 

i'm looking to buy subs to pair with it and probably 2 wedges. our singer has an inear monitor system....

 

i have plenty of microphones, beta 58s, audix drums mics, akg condeners, etc...

 

i can't decide if i want to go powered or passive subs and then i'll need an economical rack case for the mixer and power amps....

i was planning to buy most everything used but i'm weighing the pros and cons of matching powered subs with a passive top speaker set...etc i was planning on spending a couple thousand to get everything set up right.

It would help us if you could tell us what you want the system to do, and wether you plan on just using the system for that, or do you want to buy things that will let you grow bigger later on. If you know you want to grow, then the gear will be more expensive, but you will only have to buy it once.

I'm not sure what they sound like so it's hard to say whether it's even wise to build a system around the klipsch.

 

I can see why you would like subs, at least judging by the specs.

 

As stated if you could explain your short term and long term goals... along with your target venues, type of music, size of band, then comprehensive suggestions would be easier to make.
