Members dedmeet Posted December 1, 2012 Members Share Posted December 1, 2012 While I am quite enamored with my recently acquired 01v96, I see an upcoming need for some additional analog input and output channels. The ADA8000 is, or course, a very popular and economical choice for this role, but, for reasons beyond the scope of this post, not a product I care to employ. Anyway, I have stumbled upon a Profire 2626 AD-DA preamp, which appears to be an 8in/8out ADAT and Firewire preamp (and more, actually). A Google search shows many people using the 2626 happily to add 8 analog inputs to the 01v96 but there is earth of information on whether it is possible to also employ the 8 analog TRS outs on the 2626 a la the ADA 8000. So, my question is - is it possible to connect a Profire 2626 to the 01v96 via ADAT and get an additional 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs? Thanks!
