Harmony Central has “soft launched” our new mobile experience this past week. While we have done extensive testing, we know that with a community as large as HC that there will be items that surface that will still need to be addressed. We are asking that you utilize the thread belowto report any challenges you may encounter.     A light fell on a kid during his high school wrestling match... thank God he wasn't seriously hurt, but it serves as a reminder to all the DIY'ers out there as to why you shouldn't mess with putting heavy stuff over peoples heads.

    I'd be willing to bet money that someone thought it would be absolutely awesome to have this custom spotlight for the matches... couple of ropes, maybe a chain or two, and it'll all work great! /sarcasm

    yup. cross your t's and dot your i's when it comes to overhead suspension.

     

    lucky the poor kid didn't get a concussion, article says the thing weighed 50-60lbs.

      Yeah, if that kid was standing up when that light fell, there's a very good chance that would have had a completely different outcome.

    Given that the venue was a local middle school, hosting a high school wrestling tournament, I would assume it was not an IATSE job. Mark C.

      The title of the video is:

      "Madison Square Garden Epic Fail! light falls on wrestler"

      but I see another copy that says it's "Madison High School".

    Looks like typical Home Depot halogen floodlights inside. Probably someone's big idea, and whipped it up in shop.

    The timing could have been better, or worse.
