P1010386.JPGIs this a must have, or, can i get by with just mounting them to the front rails, anyone have some insight to this?

I will be putting two Crown xti 6000's and two Crown xit 4000's in this rack http://www.audiopile.net/products/Cases/CU\_Series\_Roadracks/CUDJ-P-22/CRUDJ-P-22\_series\_cutsheet.shtml  the 6000's are deeper than the 4000's and the rack is the 16 space one.

The most common use for the back rails is to install a rack of fans.

Or install some rear support brackets.

BTW:  When in-doubt, I install rear support brackets.

Also BTW:  I generally put the 2 locking casters on the front of my cases.

In general, you do NOT need to use external fans for almost all modern front to back ventilated amps that have internal fans. In fact, external fans installed against the design flow can CAUSE big problems.

Rear rail are good for amp support, I/O panel and filler panel installation
