Members Reson8tor
New generation of MixWizards announced, due out shortly:http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/News/Pages/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsId=675The main news (from my perspective at least) is onboard multichannel recording to USB (like their new Qu-16), and a revamped FX engine. No price increase over the current series.

Members dcastar
So pretty much an aesthetic update. The QU-16 is where it's at now.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a QU-16. Allen and Heath have a nice little echo system going now. Greg
Members Reson8tor
The PDF user manuals are online now at the A&H site. Here's what it says about the multitrack recording option:-------------------------004-232JIT WZ4 USB AUDIO OPTIONThis is a high quality audio card that sends 16 channelsfrom the mixer to a computer for recording or processing.A stereo channel is returned to the mixer formonitoring purposes or as an effects return path. For the 12:2 the card sends the following channels tothe computer: Mono channels 1-8 direct out, Aux outputs1-6, Left/right insert sends OR AB outputs. For the 16:2 the card sends the following: Mono channels1-14 direct out, Mono channels 15 & 16 direct outOR AB outputs. The ST2(ST6) source can toggled between the computerreturn feed or the input sockets mounted at the rear ofthe mixer. For full details please refer to the WZ4 USB optionapplication note AP8987 and fitting instructions AP8988.-------------------------I'm guessing that it's the same (or close cousin) circuit as the multitrack recording in the new Qu-16, which creates 24-bit 48kHz WAV files. The manual for the Qu-16 also says it has to be a USB hard drive and not a USB key/thumb drive, which may apply to the MixWiz series also?
Members Howie22
Naturally, they would announce a new version a week after I purchased the MW3.
