Connecting a Digitech Vocalist Live 4 to a Fender Passport 300 Pro

I have owned a VL4 for about 3 years and have always been amazed by the harmony when connected to a small (30W) Crate acoustic amp.  Tonight, I connected it to my new Fender Passport 300 Pro and the harmonies sounded off a little.  I connected the line out (L/Mono) 1/4 inch from the VL4  to the line in on the passport.  I tried other channels on the Passport with no improvement.  Any ideas?

The Passport can not change the harmonies, there must be something that got changed within the processor to cause this. Or, you just didn't hear it with the acoustic amp.
