Members Coaster Posted July 31, 2013 Members Share Posted July 31, 2013 ok. long story short: MR series JBL i purchased in 1997. a par of 10" and horn, heavy boxes that don't sound great but are tough. June 2013 one LF driver stops dead for no reason. test it at show, pull driver, driver dead crossover outputs work n other driver. no sign of damage. send driver off to get reconed. driver gets reconed.driver installed works fine life goes on.ask tech what was wrong; tinsel lead failure VC failure etc. get runaround answer involving mice pres. etc. good lord. he has no idea what failed.
