The 2241 is one of the very best sounding drivers and work very well in those boxes.
That's too much power for the drivers but I doubt you drive them very hard. With proper limiting you should be ok. If you damage them, any JBL recone shop can repair them. I have reconed plenty over the years at our shop, almost always from folks who drove them hard with too much power.
you are right we dont ever drive the amp to it limit, actually we can when they installed the system insted of pluging the amp into a 30 circuit the made an adapter and pluged it into a 20 amp outlet, but we haven't poped the breaker yet. the only time they where driven hard was when my freind decided to play dubstep and tern the subs all the way up, and right after i mad him turn it down/off i smealed burning voice coil, but nothing broke
