Brand new multi million dollar church. This is the back of the AV rack... They asked me if I can make it work.

I wasn't sure where to start, and then I get to the last photo of the AC. I especially love the extensions into the $6.00 power bar - all of them lying on the floor. I needed a good chuckle, so thanks.

Looks a lot cleaner than most of the installs I've been called into.

Big no no with the network cable. Never cable tie network cable like that (left). Minimum of 3 inch circular loop or larger then cable tie it/hang it. It is illegal to cascade power strips like that. At least here it is.

There are so many no nos with this installation, NEC wise, standard practices wise and conventional wisdom wise. I just hope they can come up with the money to remedy the situation. BTW, here is the speaker placement for the sanctuary.
          Thanks,

Notice the Behringer mixer! At least we know where the multi millions of dollars weren't spent.

I'm officially all done with installations, too many unrealistic expectations coupled with unrealistic budgets which breed empty promises from AV salesmen. When something ends badly, non-local folks can more effectively walk away after getting paid but the local guys tend to be held to a higher standard since they got you by the local balls, which are much easier to grab than out of town balls.

Lost the last 3 bids because I wouldn't play games with the sound committees, all 3 jobs ended up being cluster-f*cks with disastrous results, and one church demanded that I come and make it right. Me??? No sir, nobody tells me they don't like the way I do business and awards the job to another company, then tells me that I have to fix it. That dog don't hunt in my book. The design they wanted wouldn't work, I wouldn't promise that it would in order to make the sound committee happy because I knew that would be a blatant lie. They did too, but wanted me to play along, jeez.

I wonder what the RT60 in that room is. I bet it is loud enough the pastor dosn't even need a microphone.

Like the horizontal array in a narrow room. Maybe they had the drawings turned on their side and it was SUPPOSED to be a line array?

The contractor seemed to have a theme going with sound. Here's a picture of the speakers in the fellowship hall. BTW, the podium and projection screen are on the opposite wall . . .

                    Thanks,

The biggest bang for the buck with big result is acoustical treatment. Just what is that in each corner for loudspeakers in the main room?
                      Can you give a description?

I need to take a closer look but I think they are QSC AcousticDesign Series.

We recently did a major acoustical treatment for the room.

                        Thanks,

I am talking about the room with the blue chairs? Is this two different churches?

Sanctuary and fellowship rooms are using the same speakers.
                            Thanks,
