I also have two RCF ART 312-A MK III speakers. We are classic rock band.We planing on playing some small bars. And also medium sized venues about 1/3 the size of a football field. We don't have any monitors . I need to know what is the next piece of equipment.to purchase? What are we lacking? Do we buy used or buy new ? Members abzurd
At least a few monitors, then subs. The JBL PRX stuff is being blown out at a few merchants so worth a look if you go new.
Members wesg
Your priority should be monitors. Your RCF 12" powered speakers would make decent monitors. I have six equivalent Yorkville speakers for my classic rock band. Four monitors and two mains. When we play a bigger space, we either bring or rents subs. When we play an even bigger space, we rent even bigger FOH. But we always have the same stage monitors. For very small rooms (60 - 80 people) you can probably even get away with putting your monitors on poles behind the band and using them for mains at the same time. This will require some volume discipline.
