Lights on speakers in small rooms

My RCF310a's (and B208D's) have a single 10mm hang point on top - so I bought some of these:

and reamed out the mounting holes on a couple of LED floodlight fixtures to accommodate the bolt size. I might eventually use some aluminum bar stock to make lighting bars with a 10mm hole in the middle and a mounting hole on either end. That can take four fixtures (two on top, two underneath. The QSC "K" speakers have two 10mm hang points on top.

How are they secured? Do these things screw into the fly points?

Why do you want to put a light pointed at the audience? (read: blind them)?

Isn't it the artist which has to be in the spotlight?

Blinders do a good job of making big moments "pop".

I use AMDJ Dotz TPar on my speakers currently, but have been using a smaller sub/mains combo for some of the smaller weddings lately. I'm thinking of trying the Chauvet Wash FX as stage wash over the speakers. Very light and small and would look pretty slick, but can't aim them. Supposedly 90 degree coverage so should work. I'll probably get 1 to test and if it doesn't work just use as a blinder or wall wash behind us.
