Members Bugzie
I really need to go to a digital desk and was asked how to patch a standalone effects unit into one. I have a few older effects units that I've become accustomed to using (M1 XL etc...) Would you patch between an output and a channel? The routing capabilities are boggling my mind. Members Luckenbacher
On one level, it's not that hard... just find an output, plug that in, and return the unit to a channel on the board. Or an aux in, if your board has something like that. There are probably a lot of ways of setting up busses on various digital boards, but in principle that's what you're doing. Members Crownman
Run it out of an aux send and into a board channel.
Members Dogoth
Run it out of an aux send and into a board channel. Correct. I might add that the aux should be setup post fader.
Members dboomer
Depends on the effect.
Members agedhorse
Always verify that the routing of the return relative to the send does not cause a regenerative loop.
