Members vort
Was over on the Line 6 website, and noticed they had an area for product ideas. I know from previous topics a few of us have been clamoring for Line 6 to release wireless IEM. A long shot, but perhaps if enough of us register and submit, they might take a crack at it? http://line6.ideascale.com/
Members dboomer
So what do you think a Line 6 wireless IEM system would be?
Members vort
Hey Don, The advantage I see is that it would use the same technology your wireless products do. If you will, take all the marketing that is used to show the advantages of Line 6 mics, instrument wireless, etc, and apply that to IEM's. Such as: - Using a frequency that won't be dealt away and made useless anytime soon.- Using a frequency that is legal and useful throughout most of the world- Using your patented technology to prevent dropout and interference on said frequency. It would also be nice to have a full Line 6 wireless rack, mics, instruments, and iems. Another thought is, with everything moving to wireless mixing, many engineers are looking for a wireless solution to solo. IEM's are currently the only real solution. Could Line 6 market something to this group? I have used your guitar wireless in reverse to be able to do this very thing. It's only really viable when I have a static mixing area though, since the unit has to be plugged into power and a headphone amp. Not very portable. Members StratGuy22
I like the idea of using a single brand. Thanks to your advice I use my G50 body pack and a lapel mic ($30 I believe) along with an XD-V75 receiver for a wireless lapel mic when needed. Its great that it all plays nicely together.
