Other than making them a low wattage generator, does it damage them? I clean computers out this way often (and yes trevcda it IS fun :-). If there's a reason not to though, I'll stop. Members wesg Posted September 26, 2014 Members Share Posted September 26, 2014 To remove from my lines, water, I use an inexpensive desiccant insert right before the air nozzle, that is normally meant for use with HPLV spray guns etc. I don't have an oil-free compressor, but I'm pretty sure my compressor's oil rings are in good shape....and any microscopic oil particles that I can't detect are unlikely to be harmful. Spinning the fans with the compressor is frowned upon because it can damage the bearings; they are not meant for those RPMs. Note that I seldom spray electronics unless they are absolutely filthy.
