Members Binkeys
So an Allen and Heath Zed18 fell into my lap... I may sell it, but I'm thinking of keeping it as a backup setup for some smaller situations. The the lack of on-board effects is an issue, though. What effects rack would you recommend, that can be paired with it for small band gigs? I don't mind buying used, but trying to keep costs down. My main mixer has dual digital effects on board, and I'd like a similar setup here, if possible. Thanks!
Members monthlymixcd
My go-to for years has been the Lexicon MX200. Bought another one used (like new/in the box) this summer for $80. You can also buy 'em new at GC or elsewhere (preferably elsewhere) for $200 and enjoy a warranty as well. (Not that you'll ever need the warranty.) Members Binkeys
Thanks, I'll check that out. Looks like I can easily find one for around $150 on the 'Bay.
Members agedhorse
Pm me, I think I have one that's getting ready to go on ebay. I will check when I get back to the shop but if it is I will make you a heck of a deal
Members Unalaska
Mx200 is great, I like the tc m300 myself.
Members agedhorse
Just checked, it's a Lexicon MPX-100 with power supply. PM me with an offer, it's part of a whole pallet of gear I need to get rid of.
Members Binkeys
Thanks for the offer, Aged Horse. I've given it some thought, and I'm going to sell the mixer. I'd rather have a mixer with on-board effects as a spare/emergency kit.
Members Kalina2
Mx200 is great, I like the tc m300 myself. I am willing to sell one TC-350M is priced at $ 100, but I'm afraid shipping from Russia will be more expensive the device itself twice
Members wesg
I really like having a Lexicon hanging off the back of the board. We have a Lexicon MX400, but basically use it as an MX200. The control you have over the effects is amazing, and being able to load separate patches is really handy. You can, for example, dial in the reverb you like for one location and save it. Then the next time you're there, it's already ready to roll. Or we can put a certain amount of delay on one tune, different on another, etc., just flipping patches in the Lexicon.
