Members dbMontana
Yea, I've seen that before. I especially like the analog Gage's across the top! Although if there's one part of a console I'd like physical it would certainly be the faders. The rest "could" be digital/virtual but I like real faders. A keyboard would indeed be nice but I'm not sure I'd opt for it where they put it.
Members cappttenron
Yeah I have wondered why someone doesn't just have a large touch screen? You could configure YOUR WAY.

Members agedhorse
The challenges with anything totally customizable is that they then become less standardized. Standardization is that allows interoperatability across an industry or industry segment. The other pto oem is the lack of feel of the UI.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted April 15, 2014 CMS Author Share Posted April 15, 2014 The "lack of feel" issue is what really turns me off to screen interfaces. It's good to be able to feel a fader and watch the performer instead of the interface, especially for monitor applications. What I really hate is when you move a virtual control, needing accuracy, and have it set where you want...only to have the damn thing shift as your finger leaves the surface.
