Members Chaff67
At our church we use wireless mics for our pastor, person giving communion and any special speakers. At the end of service every Sunday our sound guy removes the battery from all the body packs. I was wondering, does this actually save on battery life (assuming the packs are turned off) or is it a waste of time?

Members Калина
I do not know how the question is linked to conserve battery power, but manufacturers recommend removing the radio from the transmitter batteries as the batteries and sometimes flowing electrolyte can damage the transmitter

I was under the impression that transmitters with a soft power button (my Sennhieser EW stuff for instance) are always "on" enough to recognize this momentary contact button and power on the reciever and this would be a little draw that draw down a battery over the course of a week or two. Unlike my ULXP stuff which has a true on/off switch. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
