Members T. Alan Smith
Hi. I do live looping at a local winery tasting room patio. It's 100% improv and usually goes over quite well. While I typically have someone accompany me, I've done it solo plenty of times with mixed results. Although it's bass guitar driven, I call it "chillout music" as we're more in the background as part of the ambiance as a whole. On a boat. On a boat. On a ^^0+her f/(l(!n boat. ...and with the largest group I assembled(didn't require the looper much)- Any other live loopers living on the edge like this?? Members lz4005
I used to do a whole show where I would play guitar, bass and drums into a looper. Mostly cover songs and mashups with a female singer. People liked it, but I never enjoyed it anywhere near as much as playing conventionally with 2 or 3 other good musicians. I only do it a few times a year now that the other two bands I'm in are booking more jobs. Less pressure, more money, less to load in/out.
Members Crustee
I've borrowed a looper from a friend, but haven't gotten up the courage to remove it from the box yet.
Members mpacey
T. Alan ... I'd love to hear some examples of this (as a fretless bass player myself). Do you have any audio examples you could post?
