I did Sundays at another place for 14 years, left there for 7, and now have been back there for one year on Sundays. I did have about a 12 to 13 year stretch where I averaged 5 per week, which I thought was a pretty neat trick. (I live in a heavy tourist town, and always did double Saturdays). I also live in a tourist town, but I'm fortunate to have a decent local following as well. My steady Thursday gig I've had for about 5 years, and my Saturday gig I've held for nearly 21 years. Last July I played 17 times that month, but last January I played only 4 times. Last week I played 3 times, this week it's 2, next week it's 1. I got a call to sub next week for a local band that has a decent draw, but it's my anniversary and Mrs. Chemikool would shoot me if I did it. 8-12 times a month would be about my average between solo, duo and full band gigs, but some months are heavier than others.
