    We are doing:

    "Feliz Navidad"

"I Saw Momma Kissing Santa" - Jhon Melelcamp version

"Santa is Coming to Town" - Springsteen Version

    "Jingle Bell Rock"

I do "Holy Night" acapella if asked (tipped)

That's it, any more and it's via Pandora.

I really like "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas." It's light and fast and witty, both lyrically and musically. I do it a fair bit faster than Bing does--makes the bridge a real adventure.

should I set up a Xmas Song Exchange sticky thread?

              maybe

or just a general songbook exchange sticky...? I have a couple of other books. I could post my rock book as a starter.

I just pulled out Merle Haggard's "If We Make It Through December' again this year. I also wrote a song many years ago called 'Take Me Home For Christmas'. The lyrics are as suggestive as the name implies, but it's still kind of cute. I do it some, mostly upon request. People around here usually don't come to the bar to hear Christmas songs. That's too bad, cause I kind of like them. HO HO HO!!

Great song. Never thought of it as a Christmas song even though "Daddy can't afford no Christmas cheer" is a hint. Maybe it's the mood.

Maybe we can include more 'winter-themed' songs. Like "Nine Below Zero" or "Snow Blind Friend" or "Song for a Winters Night" or "Cold Cold Heart" or "The Frozen Logger."

was wasting time today going through the 189 Christmas songs I have in iTunes. I compiled two lists of 'interesting' songs.

'Zat You, Santa Claus? Louis Armstrong

Santa Claus Is Back In Town Elvis Presley

Boogie Woogie Santa Claus Pattie Page

Here's two that are novel and (to me) very very catchy. Stumbled across them today by accident. The band(s) is uncredited from a compilation of 1950s Bahamian music.
