Members J.Paul
I'm using a gain pedal and a compressor for lead boosts, gives me kinda of a Django type of tone for solos. No volume pedal.
Members loveofjazz
I have a similar situation. My acoustic guitar for gigs has a Fishman pickup on it, but no onboard controls.I run a Boss TU-2 tuner into a SansAmp Para Driver DI pedal straight to an Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedal. Works wonders on volume control on-the-fly. If I'm working with others on acoustic, I leave myself some confortable headroom for solos (especially slide solos), but keep my stage volume to match their stage volume. That's what I love my EQ pedal for. I couldn't live without it.
