Notes Norton -- trash or treasure?

the brass is probably worth close to $65 Cdn...

restoration costs can be brutal, though, but if it is mechanically sound, and just needs new pads, that looks interesting...I work with a lot of sax players, but sax is not one of my regular instruments, so...:idk:

Paging Mr. Norton!

Sorry, I've been very busy lately with gigs and some new songs for those gigs, so I missed it. I clicked the link but it's sold.

From the keywork it looks 1950s or so, and I don't recognize the keyguards so I don't know what kind of sax it is. ORD doesn't ring a bell, so it's not a major brand.

Bottom line is I'd have to play it to see if it's worth $65 as an instrument or not.

S'okay, Notes. I was just curious. Someone else has leapt to the challenge and got themselves either a keeper, a loser, or a project. I've noticed, though, that real bargains -- where the seller undervalues the instrument -- are very rare and they generally get snapped up. Then there's the "Antique trumpet, found hanging on the barn wall, bell missing -- $299 obo, no lowballs" variety.
