Members Kiravon
HiJust got this old workstation, sounds are superb - stability less so! I think I was overloading the storage somewhat. The next day I switch on and its completely locked. Does anyone own one of these things or have any idea where I can find the factory reset code? ThanksKiravon
Members Yoozer
Since the site from GEM doesn't have anything anymore about the older stuff - that means, no PDF documents either, plus Googling for "General Music" is like fishing on a scrap heap with a supermagnet, I think you'll have to call the helpdesk or poke around in the Yahoo group. "Reset" is also called "Factory Initialize" or "Init"; if you have the manual you might find it using that term. Good luck!
Members Rasmus-DK
On a side note - I've been looking at cheap, used WS1's and WS2's here in Denmark - can you use the built-in sequencer externally..?
Members Rasmus-DK
And oh - here's the WS1 manual in case you didn't have it - you can find that and a lot other GEM manuals and brochures at www.gem-club.com under "Knowledgebase"... http://web.radio-ham.org/gemclub/bin/WS1_GB.pdf
Members edel
I don't knwon if it will help but with in order to reset the WS2 (wich is likely the WS1) you should press simultaneously the 4 first patch buttons and the 4 last patch bouttons. My WS2 lock sometime too. His memory seems to retain parameters wrongly sometimes. Anyway gem'WS series was clearly pioneers in many domains. Members Rasmus-DK
Hey Edel - do you know, whether one could use the internal WS2 sequencer externally - to control other keyboards eg.?
