Members aliengroover
What it says on the manual has nothing to do with it. Is that the disk you got with it? If so, go here: http://www.akaipro.com/archive_os/2_mpc2kv172.zip and get the last version (1.72) and follow the instructions and put it on a brand new disk. Also, are you getting "disk read error" on the display? If so, and you get that after putting in a fresh disk, then usually the fix is putting in a new floppy. You can get them for less than $20 and they're really simple to put in. Almost as easy as RAM, and anybody can do that.Peace

Members aliengroover
No problem. But no floppy on the laptop? Bummer. If you have a Kinko's or something near you, it may be worth a couple of dollars to go there and use their comp to get it. I'm not sure what their policy is on downloading stuff like that, but it's worth a shot.Peace
