Members -groovatious-
Hey guys Does anyone own one of these or used one? Digital OSC's with analog everything else. Any opinions? How much are they worth on the second hand market?
Members kazper
I played with the drum box that they make. Looks cheap, felt cheap but sounded like the 909 that I had a few years ago dry. The shop that had it wanted almost the new price for it. There is a great lack of info on them in the states thats for sure.
Members stikygum
All you need to know is the sound is awesome for the price. Beats out any other analog in that price range for pure rawness. Filter =
Members r33k
What do you mean any other analog. It's not analog. I have a Synth-Lite (original) that someone gave me and it has serious sound quality issues, even allowing for the digital oscillators. Maybe the situation has improved with the II, but I'd be very careful with my money if I were you.
Members Meatball Fulton
I had the original Synth Lite also. Cheap construction, digital oscillators and envelopes (the filter is the only analog part). The filter does sound pretty good in a Moogish way, the lack of snappy envelopes is a total downer. A real plus is the LFO gets up into the low audio range so you can do some FM tricks. The MIDI implementation is quirky. A new Synth Lite II is only $249 so I'd expect a used one to be around $150.
