I got a dead Prophet 2000 laying around, which I thought about fixing.

It just doesn't boot up (garbled numbers on the display).

Does it really worth the effort of fixing it or do you think this should better just go for parts ?...

Except for the vintage value and warm sound, what can it really do which makes it worth to find it the space in my studio ?...

How much do they go for anyway ?

Thanks ! :thu:

Depending how much effort and money it'll take to fix, I would suggest fixing and selling it. If it's more bother than it's worth, scrap it. If you think you could get a few $$$ back from it once it's fixed, then break out the soldering iron :) There could also be a nice restoration article in it too, photos etc. Who knows who else might find that useful.
