Help!

I have a working (mostly) Peavey DPM 3SE (I know it's old) synth that I inherited that is not following the result described in the manual for recording sequences. When (after correctly completing the edit, create, and record steps) I get to the play step and push the play key (>) nothing happens.

If you speak DPM 3SE, have a direction I can try, and are willing to help I would be appreciative.

Thanks

I used to have a Peavey DPM V3 - the voice module.

That was back in the early 90s.

nice audio path and good fx.

sampling rate not TOO high, but still nice.

But i replaced it with the Creative Audigy soundfont synth.

It had a few patches fixing bugs if I recall.

Usually for editing you gotta scroll all the way down to the bottom and

make sure SAVE is hilighted (or something) then exit.

I dunno. I may not be much help for ya...

Thanks for the reply Steve,

All directions to create a new sequence worked correctly up through the record step. At that point the display gave the correct status line:

STATUS Seq: Test1 Bars:04 Tempo:120 (!)

*RCRDY*STOP* Bar:01 Beat:01

The next instruction was to press the play key (>) and the synth would give 4 tempo beats and the status line would change to:

STATUS Seq: Test1 Bars:04 Tempo:120 (2)

*RECRD*PLAY* Bar:01 Beat:01

When I pressed the play key NOTHING was heard and the status line stayed the same as (1) above

Any thoughts on how to proceed from here?

Ed

errr, probably no suggestions you haven't already thought of...

maybe the play key is dead?

It's one of those "used for everything" keys?

and it works on other funcs?

Try editing the seq? See what kind of events ya got?

You didn't hit max #events or anything?

Try saving to disk and reloadin' maybe?

I'm just graspin' for straws like you'ld do...:/

Sorry if im wrong for posting this here but i have searched and searched to no avail. my problem is that i have this wonderful synth ,a peavey dpm 3se, but no apparent way to make a copy of the disk that came with it. As it is now, the disk cant have too much longer so i want to make a backup. I have read the archived manual and have even seen the files hosted on your software page but my question is how would i get the files into the peavey. The peavey cant see xp formatted disks and vice versa. If someone could please answer this for me i would be greatly appreciative.

And since i have already typed all of that i may as well ask this here also,

Is there anyway to map the transport controls on the dpm 3se's sequencer to my DAW?

If so, how?
